Next week I’ll be heading to Italy to attend the European Wine Bloggers Conference 2011.
EWBC has been consistently one of the best wine events of the year (thanks Gabriella, Ryan & Robert). It’ll once again be a great opportunity to talk to old wine friends, meet other online wine entrepreneurs and taste some great wines with other wine geeks from all over the world.
EWBC 2011
EWBC is in its 4th edition and this year it will take place in the city of Brescia and the wine region of Franciacorta.
The conference starts with a BYOB Dinner to in which we’ll be able to taste more than 60 wines from 15 different countries. I’ll be bringing a couple of old Ports. Check the complete Wine List to see what other wines we’ll be tasting.
The rest of the agenda will be filled with keynotes, tastings (some exclusive like the Austria Sweet Wine and the Sparkling Wine Tasting) and, of course, lots of opportunities to engage with other participants.
EWBC 2011 Wine Lists
The EWBC 2011 Wine List is online and is once again powered by AVIN and Adegga. If you’re participating in the EWBC, feel free to browse the wines, leave a comment or keep a list of the wines you enjoy during the event.
Post Trip: Chianti Classico
On the last 3 days I’ll be doing one of the EWBC Post Trip and heading to Tuscany to visit the Chianti Classico zone and taste some delicious Sangiovese. Tuscany is one of the most famous wine regions in the world and I’ve been looking forward to discover it for some time.
With a post-trip agenda with entries like this one, I’m sure it will be a great experience:
“The Whole Steer” dinner exploring the various parts of the animal, commented by butcher-poet Dario Cecchini at his “Solo Cicca” restaurant in Panzano
I’ll be posting photos regularly on my Facebook during the event. If you’re there see you very soon!
